COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Hazchem Spill and Clean up a Spill course will assist employees to identify and assess the risk of a potential spill, confine a spill should it happen and evaluate the incident to ensure a correct, safe clean up.

MODULE 1: INTRODUCTION

MODULE 2: HANDLING, STORAGE AND LOADING

MODULE 3: RECOGNISE AND IDENTIFY THE PRESENCE OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS

MODULE 4: STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES (SOPs)

MODULE 5: EMPLOYERS EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN

MODULE 6: HANDLING A SPILLAGE SITUATION

COURSE OUTCOMES

On completion of this course, candidates will be able to identify and assess the risk of a potential spill, confine a spill should it happen and evaluate the incident to ensure a correct, safe clean up. They will also be able to complete the required documentation in accordance with organisational procedures.
